"Let’s go up Chiba Port Tower on a sunny day!"
Chiba Port Tower was built in 1986 as a symbol of Chiba Port. It is a tall rhombus building covered by approximately 5,600 one-way mirrors which reflect the sky and the clouds.
The observation room is on the 4th floor, 113m high from the ground, and you will
enjoy the 360-degree panoramic views from there such as the city of Chiba,
Tokyo Bay, Tokyo Skytree, and when the air is dry and clear you can see even Mt. Fuji. I'm sure you will feel very refreshed.
You will see the Chiba port below which is the largest port in Japan and various cargo ships
come in and go out and the factories around the port. The green of Port Park right below the tower also can be seen.
In the evening, you can see the sunset and at night you will enjoy the night view of factories' lights. It will be a romantic date spot for lovers to stay especially on the 2nd floor which is named "Sunset Promenade" There are some lovely settings
for taking photos.
On the 3rd floor, there is "SEAGULL KITCHEN", a Buffet Restaurant--currently a cafe under Covid 19 circumstances. You can take a rest with tea or a meal while overlooking the beautiful scenery.
The ground floor is a wide space and there is a Port Shop selling souvenirs, ticket office, kids corner, free rest area and a convenience store.
You can take a snack from the convenience store and eat here, or buy toy rackets, bats and balls to play in the Port Park.
