Skylets started in 1997 and participated in doing volunteer work at the Nagano Olympics and Paralympics held in 1998. Since then, we have been doing volunteer work such as assisting overseas guests who attend international conferences, sports events, international exchange programs, or study in Japan.
After the COVID-19 pandemic was over, we started welcoming individual guests from overseas at Narita Airport or Haneda Airport.
I often volunteer my time to welcome guests at the arrival lobby of Narita Airport or Haneda Airport and navigate them to where they can deliver their luggage to the hotel, activate JR PASS, buy a transportation IC card such as Welcome Suica/PASMO PASSPORT, pick up Wi-Fi/SIM and take the best and easiest train or bus to go to their hotels.
Yumiko and I welcomed American families from New Orleans, Louisiana at the arrival lobby of Haneda Airport in the afternoon on Feb.10.
After proceeding with shipping their luggage at the courier company JAL ABC, they purchased PASMO PASSPORTs with the Hello Kitty patterns depicted on them.
Then took trains to their hotel in Akihabara.
They checked in using a machine around 4 o'clock pm, while the children were looking outside through the window.
The photo was taken at the lobby of their hotel at Akihabara.
Very early the following morning they headed for Nagoya by Shinkansen to visit Ghibli Park!
Then they are going to Sanrio Puroland, both Tokyo Disneyland and Disney Sea in Tokyo, and lots of other theme parks!!
They are scheduled to leave Japan on Feb.23. Enjoy Japan!
We would be happy to be of service to you at Narita Airport or Haneda Airport when you visit Japan.
