I am a member of Skylets.

I often do volunteer work of welcoming individual guests from overseas at Narita Airport or Haneda Airport.

In pairs, we assist arriving guests by purchasing Welcome Suica cards,

acquiring Wi-Fi/SIM, cards, arranging luggage delivery to their hotels. We then determine the best transportation option for reaching their hotels.

We have welcomed total 363 groups since March 2023. The breakdown is 184 groups from USA, 65 from Australia, 28 from Canada, 14 from United Kingdom, 10 from New Zealand, 9 from Singapore, 6 from India, and so on.

And 208 groups landed at Narita Airport while 155 groups at Haneda  Airport.

We welcomed a family of four from Brisbane, Australia at Narita Airport Terminal 3 on January 18th, 2025.

After greeting, we moved to Terminal 2 by shuttle bus.

We got off the bus at No. 18 bus stop and proceeded to the JAL ABC counter to pick up a pocket Wi-Fi which the guest had reserved in advance.

Right after picking up the pocket Wi-Fi at JALABC counter, she noticed she had left her bag on the bus. "I've been telling my kids not to leave their belongings behind, and yet I did it myself."  She murmured, clearly discouraged. Knowing that five shuttle buses were constantly moving between the three terminals, we anxiously waited for the original bus to return. Thankfully she found her bag untouched on the seat where she had left it.

What a safe country!! We were both relieved!

Then we hurried to the ground floor where the other three family members and our staff member were waiting by the 7-Eleven. From there, we guided them to JR East Travel Service Center to activate their JR Pass vouchers and purchase Welcome Suica cards.

After we saw them off at Toyo Katsutadai station, they proceeded to Kagurazaka Station.

Their 20-day trip to Japan includes visits to Tokyo, Shizuoka, Osaka, Kyoto, Nara, Kobe, Hiroshima, Miyajima, and Hakuba.

As they love outdoor sports, they are looking forward to snowboarding in Hakuba, which is famous for its powdery snow. They are also excited to see monkeys bathing a hot spring in the snowy season.

ENJOY Japan!!
